April and I went on a train to the city of Pisa. The train ride was about 1 hour to get to Pisa. When we got there I was hungry so I got some pizza. It was horrible! So after this we got into line. We had to wait about 20 minutes so I got put my phone. It was time to go in so I put my phone away and dropped it! This would not seem like a problem at first but there was a sewer hole in the floor. It landed right next to it! But didn't fall in. After this we went in the tower it was very cool and the stair were so hard to get up. When we got to the top we looked at the floor and mom told me Galileo did a science experiment there. I didn't really care but payed attention. Then we went down and that was it for The Leaning Tower of Pisa.

BDazzle and I had a really good day together today. A few times she may have said, rolling her eyes, "Yes mother, that rusty ground anchor they used to fix the tower in the 1980s is TOTALLY fascinating" but at least she tried!!

Did you take any of those cheesy pictures in which you pretend to be holding the Tower from falling? I must admit that I have always wanted to take one of those haha. I went to Pisa when I was 15 and didn't take any and now I regret it! This was before digital cameras and social media - so I kinda missed out!

I remember being there in July and it was so hot! Also had trouble climbing the stairs. I also remember that we had a fire drill trying to find the correct combination of coins to get into the restrooms ! You had to have exact change and none of the merchants would make change!

I’m always terrified of dropping my keys down a sewer drain! Try not to park next to them when possible. And Pisa Pizza doesn’t sound very appetizing!
